Working Commission on Law and Dispute Resolution

Task Groups

W113 fosters the development of legal scholarship across a broad range of legal subject areas within the fields of property, construction and the built environment. It also encourages the formation of specialist groupings in particular areas that are able to address individual topics in greater depth. Some of these operate as informal study groups within W113, for example the COPA and LARC study groups.

Others have the status of independent CIB task groups. The following law-related CIB task groups currently exist:

W113 recognises that legal research continues to be seriously under-represented within the existing range of CIB working commissions and task groups. It is committed to expanding the role of legal research within CIB and, where appropriate, to supporting the formation of further law-related task groups. It therefore welcomes approaches from legal scholars with the capacity to provide research leadership in their specialist areas and who would be interested in working with us in CIB.

In the first instance, please direct enquiries about the possibility of leading a new law-related CIB task group to Paul Chynoweth, the W113 co-ordinator.
